Fallout 1.5: Resurrection

29.10.2014 Progress Update

The main thing that happened since our last post is the release of patch 1.3, again with numerous fixes and adjustments. We've added the last batch of new material and fixed all known bugs. The English version will of course contain all of these.

As for the translation, I must admit that its progress has slowed down, as some of our translators are short on free time. However, we are still working on it. A few days ago two more translators joined our ranks: Jakub Ondráček and Martin Bardun. My estimate is that by the end of the year we'll have finished more than half of the texts. Therefore, while there is no way that we can finish the translation this year, we'll do everything we can to finish it during the next year. We'll keep you updated on our progress and let you know when the release date can be more accurately estimated.

04.07.2014 Translation status: One third done

The English translation of Resurrection is growing at a decent pace. As a rough estimate of how far we are: out of the total 588 text files, 194 have been translated, which is approximately a third. We thank the translators, who haven’t stopped translating and continuously committing their free time, even when they don’t have very much of it due to various life events, both happy and sad. The happy ones include a wedding and a birth of a child. Congratulations to both!

We have also begun working on the proofreading of the translated texts. I welcome Michael Jones into our team; he has already started working on a smaller location, which was first to be completely translated. Michael will help up make sure that the translation is of the highest quality, worth all the waiting.

27.03.2014 Nuclearization - Fallout music not only from Resurrection

We have written about the music project Nuclearization - Voyage In The Post Atomic Unknown already in the past. But that was a few years back and this album definitely deserves to be mentioned again. Emitremmus has not only created dark music as an homage to Fallouts, in the style of the original music by Mark Morgan, but also several tracks directly for Resurrection. I think they have fit in with the original tracks perfectly. If you want to listen to this music outside of the game, you can download the whole Nuclearization album for free here, where you can also read about its origins.

As for the current status of Resurrection, we are still working on the English translation. In the last few weeks we have also focused on finishing up version 1.2 patch, which will be released next week. Even though you have to wait longer than the Czech speaking players, at least you'll be getting a more polished version of the game, free of the initial bugs. Until then we'll keep you informed about the progress of the translation. For now you can take a look at the translation sample we mentioned previously, and let us know what you think about it. You will find it in our forum.
