Re: odd bug with work around

when i first noticed it i was doing circles around Albuquerque killing ghouls. killed 6 and got 300 points. i thought maybe a few got into ghoul crossfire and died. the next battle (6 ghouls), all clean shots by me, 300 points. loaded with loot i headed to sedit to go grocery shopping. about midway...

Re: Mouse Resolution

I think the root of this issue is with software like Razer's and Logitech's that want to "detect games" and dynamically apply *something* to your mouse settings, and how it interacts with Sfall. I had the exact same problem with the F2 RP, and once I disabled Logitech's "detect games&...

How would the empire know who you're taking to on the 2nd floor of wild paradise though? I don't think it makes sense, and is out of context in the Fallout 1/2 games where you can play sides off of one another.

Re: how to help the empire?

I strongly disagree with FO 1.5's design team. I think we should be able to accept the quest from the dwarf and still take pro-empire quests. It's completely artificial to block off that series of quests when the PC hasn't done anything anti-empire yet.

how to help the empire?

I'm playing a good-guy talker and took the Anonym quest from the dwarf just as a way to keep my options open, expecting to double-cross him at some point. Well, it seems that now I can't work for the Empire. Is there any way to get pro-empire quests, including the pursuit of Anonym, after having acc...

Re: Mod feedback

I don't disagree that there're some freely accessible containers with too valuable stuff. That's somethig we can fix if we know specific problematic places. I'll check main imperial building then. Thanks. The police barracks in both Sedit and Corath. A lot of the containers are locked, but I can lo...

Re: Too hard encounters

I usually get attacked by raiders with Leather Jackets and Deser Eagles on Crimson Caravan Runs. You don't even have to fight them, just let them have a shootout with caravan guards until they run out of ammo, then finish off the remnants. There's ZERO penalty for dead brahmins and dead guards - ev...

Re: Too hard encounters

I'm going to throw my voice in here to say that the Caravan Guard missions out of Sedit are absolutely ludicrously difficult, at least for Sedit Caravan and especially for Crimson. There should be some tense battles, and some easier ones, but as it stands now there is zero chance of finishing a cara...

Re: Can't change game speed

I bet it could on a slow CPU. I play at default in 110 speed, and only use the extreme speeds for long battles or running away from random encounters.

Re: Can't change game speed

You can, but not the way you think. It's a sfall feature. Hold down CTL + numpadX where X is the 0 to 9 keys to change the in-game speed. You can change what speed 0 to 9 correspond to in ddraw.ini. Look under the [speed] heading. ;The speeds corresponding to each slot in percent. (i.e. 100 is norma...

Re: [bug] hiccup / stutter in audio track

How can I extract the audio file to test it? .dat explorer and something that can play .acm?

edit: nvm. the .acm files are stored in a separate sounds folder not packed into master.dat, and reinstalling F2 fixed it.

[Solved] hiccup / stutter in audio track

Maybe it's my GOG version of F2, but in one of the main music tracks played in Sedit / little hub has a hiccup in it. It sounds like a bad loop. Anyone else notice this?

Re: Fighting ring in Lost Town

Said floater has way more HP than 30, maybe you managed to instant kill with crit? I did hit it critically and kill, but the sum of all damage was still around 30. Crits have severity levels. The most severe eye and head crits are instant kills, even if they do 1 damage. Did you kill it with an eye...

dedicated tech support / bugs subforum

Hey FORES people. Can you split the technical help requests and bug reports into there own subforum? Having gameplay discussion and bugs in the same forum makes it more likely for bugs to go unnoticed. It would also help you all to know all your bug reports are in one area, and not have to sift thro...
