Corath Reputation: Idolized possibility?

Post by Dr_Nomz »

Is it possible to get Idolized in Corath? If so, how do I do that?

In my current playthrough I managed to get Idolized in every single location in the game (except Rebirth base, haven't been yet no spoilers) although I feel like I fucked up with Corath somewhere. Granted, I AM accepted, but I used to be liked, so any chance Idolized is possible in another playthrough, or do I just forget about it entirely?

Choices made:
Murderer arrested
Got rid of Grave Robber non-violently
Gave rat to Nestor
Got all the miners killed (RIP)
Got Vodka to kick ass
RIP Uncle
And that's about it I think. Also, there was a guy on the bed in the doctor's place, but he disappeared by the time I got back, wtf? (timed quests I swear...)

I'm not sure if idolized is possible, but looking through your list I noted that killing "the nice Uncle" doesn't make one popular in Corath.
However, they celebrate when you kick the evil dwarf in the dust :)
Corath's triggers for town reputation are a bit twisted (and amusing). Actually it can be worth keeping an eye on it anyway, sometimes it's just plain funny what a settlement reacts to. The weirdest one so far was sleeping with Ivet which immediately becomes local gossip (town rep drops). And it's not always the same as good/evil either. Help the ghouls and everyone hates you. Although I'm still not sure if it's actually helping the ghouls or closing down the Casino that gets them riled up :).There is a lot of story telling in those town rep adjustments. Just another great aspect of this mod that is easily missed.

(yep, it's 48 hours, and it would help with town rep if done (may not be easy, though). Plus people around Corath will really appreciate it if you establish some "twin-action" service around here (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more).)

Indeed, you need to do things that are popular among majority of the local people. You made the right choices except killing Uncle. You should have get rid of unpopular Nestor and his even more unpopular Blaster. "twin-action" :-) or helping to Morton the accountant also helps.

Oh duh, I DID help him too, I just didn't mention it. :P

Not doing Twin Action personally, though that's good to know.

Yeah I figured I made the wrong choice with Nestor. :/ But Vodka was cool, so I wanted to help him. I COULD still kill Nestor... maybe those damn "police" after they massacred those miners... What would happen if I do one or the other, or both? (Mostly wondering how it affects ending and whatever else)

Right, the hatred towards Blaster and mutants is also important. Completely forgot that, with the one-tracked brain of mine. :)

Keri disagrees with you on that, ask her. :) Anyway, it's just funny, because you can also solve it the other way round, and then your town rep drops (lol).

I'm not sure, but my guess is if you attack anyone outside of a quest you'll trigger town hostility.

And regarding the ending, you can check here: http://www.resurrection.cz/forum/viewto ... f=12&t=820. Apparently the evil dwarf with the gold tooth is the good guy. Which is cool, too, i.e. the concept that the more hated leader is actually better for the town. While the popular one is a phony (ask Vodka). At one point, I thought the joke is that there is actually no difference between Uncle and Nestor. The one is perhaps trade orientated, while the other is more focused on manufacturing and processing iron ore. And a „good ending“ would be if both would work together for the good of the community, but it's not an option (I think), but an utopia (lol). Although I have to admit that endings is something I've hardly looked into yet. But according to the link above: Nestor is prosperity, Uncle is a delay of the inevitable, and both being dead spells doom for the settlement. Although I have no idea how you can kill both of them without triggering town hostility?
