[Solved] hiccup / stutter in audio track

Post by agris »

Maybe it's my GOG version of F2, but in one of the main music tracks played in Sedit / little hub has a hiccup in it. It sounds like a bad loop. Anyone else notice this?

Sedit is using song 01hub that's already part of Fallout 2. That would have to be problem in that Fallout 2 file.

How can I extract the audio file to test it? .dat explorer and something that can play .acm?

edit: nvm. the .acm files are stored in a separate sounds folder not packed into master.dat, and reinstalling F2 fixed it.

Music files are outside of .dat files. You'll find them in Fallout 2\sound\music or in Fallout 2\data\sound\music
ACM Converter let you convert acm to some useful sound file - http://archive.nma-fallout.com/download ... ile&id=486
