I just stumbled upon this project while reading Fallout 3 news from NMA. I'm really looking forward to this!

If one was to want to make a small donation to the team, what would be the best way to do so?

Always nice to hear of support! That's the community this mod is being made for :)

As we keep pointing out in most of our updates, the best donation would be to give us a hand with finishing the project - we still need people skilled with graphics software..

Well, I don't have any experience working with Fallout mods, but it sounds like the Character Animator job is straightforward but tedious. I may be able to help out a bit if I got a better idea of what images needed to be modified. I understand the concept (like how Sulik couldn't use a rifle in Fallout 2 because he had no animations for it), but I don't know what files would need to be created.

Is there a guide or walkthrough on editing character animations?

Also, how many different characters are you looking to have animations added for? If I understand right, you not only need to add a gun animation (for example) but you'd need to add it for each hex facing as well.

Not sure if either of these links would be useful, but there do seem to be a lot of animations that have already been done.

Hi Mark, Im glad of your interest - if you really want to help with this character animations. I can end you more information, please contact me at Ratman [at] madbrahmin [dot] cz - name the subject F1.5: Resurrection :)

We need to add new animations and standings for few characters (1-3) - an old ones drom F1+F2 which doesn´t have all standings etc. finished. So you´re right - we need to "finish" this for all standings +++ :) This is not hard job but it can take a lot of time so this is the reason why we really need someone to this.

I don´t know if some guides has been done for this, but there is some links where you can find more information (or better - clues:)) about what this kind of job will be:

http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewto ... 31&start=0 (New Fallout 2 animations (sniper, wakizashi, etc))
http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewto ... 66&start=0 (NPC Armor)
http://www.nma-fallout.com/content.php? ... ng-fo-frms (How to make a Fallout 2 critter from FOT - but we really don´t wand to use FT critters... but this guide can help you to imagine this job more)

EDIT: I found really good walkthrough for this, see: http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Makin ... characters

- but don´t worry, we need only some head-cutting and copy+paste job. All torso animations can be taken from different characters which have it ready. They have almost similar bodies... mostly :)
